    Downtown Restroom Expansion/Renovation Project to Commence

    Project to be Completed by May 1, 2019

    The City of Petoskey has successfully met all of the requirements from the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources to begin renovating the downtown bathrooms in Pennsylvania Park this Fall. The $371,000 project is funded with $150,000 grant through the Land and Water Conservation Fund with the remaining funded through the City of Petoskey and the Downtown Management Board.

    On November 6, 2018 Petoskey voters will consider local issues including Second and Fourth Ward City Council seats, Mayor and local proposals.  Voters will also vote on State and local offices, as well as State proposals.

    Hydrant Flushing Schedule Set

    Department of Public Works crews will begin fire hydrant flushing and maintenance procedures at various locations throughout the City Monday, September 17.  Flushing will be accomplished only during daylight hours.  Please look for posted signs for hydrant flushing in your area.

    Customers might experience discolored water as a result of hydrant-flushing operations. If so, faucets should be opened to allow water to run freely for several minutes until becoming clear.
