Rules for your safety.
Monday - Friday: 3PM to 8PM
Weekends, Petoskey School District time-off and most Holidays: NOON to 8PM (Rope-tow operates weekends 12-4 only).
Closed: Christmas

General Rules:
1. Be cautious.
2. Careless or reckless disregard for the safety of others, rules violations, and unsportsmanlike conduct may be cause for eviction. 
3. No alcohol allowed.
4. All aspects or portions of the Winter Sports Park may be closed by park staff as conditions warrant.

Parents and Patrons:
1.  Winter Sports activities are not risk free and injuries may occur.
2.  Use the park wisely and AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Ski Area: Intermediate Rating
1. Ski in designated areas only.
2. Skis and snowboards must be equipped with ski brakes or straps.
3. Ski under control at all times.
4. Ski jumps are not allowed.
5. When riding Rope Tow:
a) Load and unload at designated points.
b) Remove ski pole straps from wrist.
c) Loose clothing, long hair, and scarves must be tucked into outerwear. 
6. The Rope Tow is licensed and operated under the guidelines issued by the State of Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, and Economic Growth.

Sledding Area:
1. Sled in designated areas only.
2. Single occupant commercial snow-tubes are allowed.
3. Toboggan and inner tubes are not allowed.
4. Always walk up the sides of sledding hill. Keep the center area of the hill clear for sledders.
5. Be sure area below you is clear before starting downhill.
Main Rink:
1. No food or drink allowed on ice rinks.
2. Hockey sticks and pucks prohibited on main rink.
3. General skaters use center of main rink when speed skaters are practicing.
4. Ice rinks need to be clear of skaters in order for staff to resurface ice or remove snow.
5. Skate helpers are available for first-time skaters. Please make them available to skaters who need them and do not sit or ride on them.

Hockey Rink:
1.  Helmet Required.
2. Rough housing, body-checking, fighting, high-sticking, and tripping are prohibited.
3.  Respect the right of safety rules and regulations.

Winter 2017

The Petoskey Speedskating Club skates at the W.S.P Tuesday-Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm, weather permitting.

The Petoskey Curling Club meets on the hockey rink from 5:00-9:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 2:00-5:00pm on Sundays.
