CITY OF PETOKEY
EMMET COUNTY, MICHIGAN


1. Sealed Bids for Storm Sewer CCTV will be received by the City of Petoskey, City Hall, 101 East Lake Street, Petoskey, Michigan, 49770 until 2:00 p.m. local time Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at which time all Bids will be publicly read aloud.


2. The principal items of work consist of the following:


     • 84,500 Feet Clean and Televise Storm Sewer
     • 25 Each Catch Basin Cleaning


3. Bid Documents, including specifications and plans, are available for inspection at the following locations:

4. An electronic copy of the Bid Documents, including specifications and plans, in .pdf format may be obtained/downloaded from C2AE’s FTP site for bidding purposes only. You will need to contact Karen by  email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. at C2AE for the Password. At which time you will be added the Planholder list.

     The Bid Documents may be accessed via Windows Explorer - ftp://ftp.c2ae.com/, Username – 130198_CCTV, enter Password (Provided by C2AE), select – Bidding Documents. Drag and drop the documents onto your desktop.


     Addenda shall also be posted on and may be obtained from C2AE’s FTP site.


     It is the Bidder’s responsibility to determine/evaluate the capability of their equipment to provide/download documents that are accurate for size, scale, and content.


     The Bidder shall be responsible for obtaining/downloading all pertinent bidding information to adequately and accurately prepare their Bid.


     Alternatively if you wish to receive printed copies of the Bid Documents, including specifications and plans they may be obtained at the Office of C2AE, 123 West Main St. Ste. 200, Gaylord, Michigan 49735. A check in the amount of $35.00 payable to C2AE must be submitted for each set of Bid Documents. No refund will be made.


5. A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond payable without condition to City of Petoskey, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Amount, shall be submitted as a "Bid Guaranty" as required in the Information for Bidders.


6. The intent of City of Petoskey is to award one (1) Contract for the entire project.

7. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish bonds and insurance as specified.


8. Bids shall remain firm and shall not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after bid opening.


9. City of Petoskey reserves the right to accept any Bid, to reject any or all Bids, or to waive bidding formalities in the best interest of the Owner.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
REPAIRS TO ASPHALT PAVED NON-MOTORIZED TRAIL
CITY OF PETOSKEY


The City of Petoskey (CITY) is seeking sealed bid proposals for the following project:


Scope of Work: To provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to replace as many linear feet as possible not to exceed $50,000 along the Little Traverse Bay Wheelway Non-Motorized Trail beginning at West Park towards the Preserve entrance to Bay Harbor in Resort Township. The work will include side trenching, pulverizing of asphalt paving, fine grading and compaction of aggregate base, installation of root control measures, bituminous paving and restoration. All work performed and materials supplied shall be in accordance with industry standards and the DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS for this project, dated September 14, 2017.

Proposal Submission: Written proposals shall be prepared on CITY bid forms and submitted in a sealed envelope marked:

Rejection Waiver: The CITY reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities and to make an award that is deemed to be in the best interest of the CITY.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

 

 

The Petoskey District Library will receive sealed bids for Landscape Improvements and either composite fence installation or masonry wall construction at Petoskey District Library and Carnegie Library until 2:00 pm local time on Thursday, September 28 at the Petoskey District Library.

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 pm local time on Thursday, September 28 at Petoskey District Library.

The project consists of landscape plant removal and replacement, concrete sidewalk and either composite fence installation or masonry screen wall construction at the Petoskey District Library, and landscape plant removal and replacement at the Carnegie Library.

Bidding documents will be on file for examination at the Petoskey District Library and at Beckett & Raeder Inc., and can be picked up at Beckett & Raeder, Inc, 113 Howard St., Petoskey, MI., 231.347.2523 after 12:00 noon local time, Thursday, September 14, 2017. There is a twenty-five dollar document fee. Fee is refundable upon receipt of bid documents in good usable condition. Checks shall be payable to Petoskey District Library.

The Landscape Architect/Engineer for the project is Beckett & Raeder, Inc., Contact person is Tim Knutsen, 231.347.2523. Arrangements may also be made to ship bid documents.

Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate on the Bid Form provided within the project manual. Bids shall be accompanied with an Affidavit of Noncollusion. Bid Form shall be filled out completely, and shall include all submittals outlined within the specifications. The accepted bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Materials and labor Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract award amount, in accordance with the requirements of the instruction to Bidders.

Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid price shall be provided with the bid submission. Bid Bond shall be in the form of a certified check.

Notice of Award/Notice to proceed is anticipated by Friday, October 6, 2017. Construction shall be completed by Tuesday, November 14, 2017 .

No Proposal may be withdrawn for at least 45 consecutive calendar days after the official bid opening. Petoskey District Library reserves the right to reject all proposals.

Only bids submitted in accordance with the specifications will be considered.
